Run down on SPS

I've often wondered how some of the tax dollars are being spent by SPS and did some digging around. My sources are people on the inside. People who work for the district and former district workers. The stories I hear are very shocking.

Superintendent Goodloe-Johnson, some time ago you made the comment that you don't care about adult problems. These are examples of your neglect. I'd like to also remind you that many of those adult problems that you don't care about directly affect the welfare of the most important people of all. The students. Some of your Managers and Directors tell you what they want you to know. They must consider you very gullible since you tend to believe everything they tell you.

  1. From what I've heard, I need to ask, who is legally responsible for our kids from the time they arrive at school until they go home? My understanding is the school is. Especially during the school day. If this is so, then why is it that some schools, particularly the high schools, tend to ignore when students are hanging out all day and skipping classes? I've heard some of your administrators don't even want to deal with the problem. They know students are skipping but choose not to deal with the issue. I don't know. Maybe a tragedy needs to happen before the superintendent's "everyone accountable" is put into action.

  2. Superintendent, let's talk about some of your employees. Since when has it become ok for the adults to address students as Mother F'ers and use profanity in conversation with students in a joking manner?
